Canadian Timberframes is involved with this project located in the Alpine Trails Development in Fernie, British Columbia. Canadian Timberframes has developed this mountain chalet with a full Douglas Fir timber frame structure from preliminary sketches provided by the client. This mountain chalet has been designed and will be positioned on the clients property in order to take in the magnificent views of the mountains that surround the town of Fernie. Being close to Fernie Alpine Resort, this chalet takes skiers through a spacious mudroom making it easy to unload all outdoor ski gear, transporting them to the soaring Great Room and Kitchen area via a very unique timber frame stair. The rooms and levels are placed specifically in a way to separate public and private spaces seamlessly in order to provide awesome ski memories and a hot spot for Après Ski.
