The Beach Home Toronto

The Beach looks and feels more like a lakeside resort town, than a big city neighbourhood. The home owners wanted to create a home that feels like a cottage retreat in a highly desirable street on the northern reaches of the Beaches neighbourhood.

Many homes in this area were built in the 1920s in the Arts-and-Crafts style era. The old homes had wood ceiling beams and wood accents in the home’s living and dining rooms. It gave the house character, and that’s what this couple was after – a modern day take for this style of home. The design style was chosen to complement the homes around & create a haven for these homeowners.

To take advantage of the amazing outdoors, which this neighbourhood is famous for, the homeowners extended their backyard patio, creating an oasis of ‘breathing space’ in the heart of the city. Made for outdoor entertaining, the patio extends the living space through a large outdoor living room.

We certainly appreciate working with such skilled partners as Infinity Fine Homes out of Lindsay and Architect Brian Lee of The Ideal Environment, who did an amazing job designing and building this project!
