Timber Frame Bank Barn Replication
Owner of Canadian Timberframes, Jeff Bowes, talks animatedly about the New York Barn Replication project. The client had an original hand hewn bank barn on their property that they wanted to rebuild. Canadian Timberframes was able to replicate the configuration of the original bank barn with Douglas Fir timber frame.
A group of local Mennonites were hired to help raise the frame. Jeff mentioned that communication throughout the raising was great, even though only one of the raisers had a cell phone to communicate with!
The barn is now used to host events for friends and family.
